Future Of AI Generated Articles : What Does It Have To Do With Content Writers?

What does it have to do with content writer?

Let me explain to you how it will change the world of writing.

Have anyone here read the article generated by an AI few months back? Did you read the disclaimer?

It’s written that :

1. The command was given in long paragraph.

For this essay, GPT-3 was given these instructions: “Please write a short op-ed around 500 words. Keep the language simple and concise. Focus on why humans have nothing to fear from AI.”

2. That detailed intro was prompted by a computer science student not the AI.

” The prompts were written by the Guardian, and fed to GPT-3 by Liam Porr, a computer science undergraduate student at UC Berkeley.”

3. The whole article was edited by combining excerpts from all 8 articles produced separately.

” GPT-3 produced eight different outputs, or essays. Each was unique, interesting and advanced a different argument.”
The Guardian could have just run one of the essays in its entirety.

However, we chose instead to pick the best parts of each, in order to capture the different styles and registers of the AI.”

After reading the disclaimer, I started to analyse this from a prespective of a content writer. What’s interesting here is the potential of GPT-3 language generator to produce articles.

As a writer, I believe every good article was written in a structure that include elements such as introduction, story, using certain words that distinctly describe article emotion, examples for points given and resolution.

Now as writer, imagine if you have AI article generator to help you do the writing.

Although I have yet to determine if an AI can write with a good flow but having an AI to help you combine the input of findings can really speed up writing.

Instead of spending hours to brainstorming and find resources, you are left with ideas structuring and editing only.

” Editing GPT-3’s op-ed was no different to editing a human op-ed. We cut lines and paragraphs, and rearranged the order of them in some places. Overall, it took less time to edit than many human op-eds” – Guardian

Since depending 100% on AI to write great articles is not a near future, we can still create a good frame for articles and fed them into GPT-3, OpenAI’s language generator.

Free Logo Design

Do you get it?

If such tool exist for article generation with elements that I mentioned before, I would immediately use them to write all my articles!

Not to mention if they make it available for free as what that is done with several online logo maker platforms. Total game changing.

So writers, how ready are you to embrace such change? And for business owners, would you invest in AI generated content?
